     Travis McKillop’s (Lower Burrell, Pa.) individual title at 184 lbs. at the 2013 Super Region I Tournament on February 23 leads a group of seven Mountain Cats who qualified for the National Tournament.  McKillop, 29-1 on the season and ranked sixth in the country at 184 lbs., posted a 4-0 record and defeated Mercyhurst’s Eric Lundgren, 10-3, to claim the regional championship.

In addition to McKillop, Evan Link (125 lbs.) (Cresson, Pa.) and Dave Cawley (Pittsburgh, Pa.), ranked seventh nationally at 141 lbs., both finished as runner-ups.  Returning All-American Dave Fogle (Summerhill, Pa.) (133 lbs.), returning National Qualifier Gary Lantz (Delta, Pa.) (174 lbs.) and true freshman Josh Duplin (Johnstown, Pa.) (285 lbs.) reached the semifinals, before finishing fourth to claim spots at nationals.  Also, Keith Ryan (Shirleyburg, Pa.) pinned Shippensburg’s Robert Scheivert in the true-fourth match at 165 lbs. to round out the seven Mountain Cats who qualified for nationals.

     Wrestling is scheduled to begin on Friday at 11 a.m. EDT with the First Round (80 matches).  Session II will start on Friday at 6 p.m. EDT and consist of the Second Round Championship Matches and the First and Second Rounds of the Consolations (120 matches).  On Saturday, wrestling will start at 10 a.m. EDT with the Championship Semifinals, Third Round Consolations and the Consolation Semifinals (90 matches).  The Championship Finals are scheduled for Saturday at 6 p.m. EDT (10 matches).
